Hey whats up, armies! Mr Frog is back with another Hero Spotlight, but this time it’s for Dota 2! We are featuring the agility hero Viper the Netherdrake, a ranged agility hero who functions as an excellent nuker, ganker and carry due to his assortment of low-cooldown spells and debilitating attacks. His modus operandi is to whittle away his opponents’ vitality over long stretches of time while they fail to inflict fatal damage. To that end Viper wields magic-based abilities focused on inhibiting speed and defenses. He infects his quarry with Poison Attack, a seemingly innocuous liquid that rapidly burns away more health as they became sicker, while drowning them in noxious pools which block their innate powers. Meanwhile Corrosive Skin fortifies him against magic damage and poisons those who dare strike him. For impervious foes he reserves his most powerful venom, Viper Strike, as a surprise gift. A slow tank that dominates the early stages of a game, Viper depends on consolidating that advantage before opponents can afford to exploit his weaknesses. Viper releases a Nethertoxin at the targeted area. Units in that area take an increasing damage over time based on how long they remain in it. Disables passives of affected units.

This long-range hero is built for mid or offlane. You can choose to go tanky or pure damage on this hero. This is actually one of the most balanced heroes for me because it can play multiple positions. I play this in the offlane position so I can get my farm and help in the late game. My favorite build is the dragon lance maelstrom for high damage output in clash. Just trust that your supports don’t let you down whenever there is a fight. Maximize poison attack and corrosive skin first to get damage and sustain at the same time, but if you want to go full ham on your opponents, you can go for maximum nether toxin and poison attack. BKB or the Black King Bar is a must on this hero to prevent getting stunned or controled. BKB is an Armor item purchasable from the Home Shop. When its ability is activated, Spell Immunity and 100% Magic Resistance are granted to the user for a short period of time. With every use the duration is decreased until it has reached the minimum duration. But buying a new Black King Bar will not reset the value. Then, I make an aghanim’s sceptre, sange yasha and heart of tarrasque towards the late game then eventually get aghanim blessing. Playstyle is to stay in the back line and utilize your range. Viper strike to enter the clash, nether toxin to both defend and attack, then pray they get killed by poison. Pretty basic hero if you ask me. Good for beginners.
