Hello armies! Mr. Frog is here to guide you about which gameplay suits you best in Valorant. Whether you like to start fights, defend sites and avoid flanks, or provide crucial information to the team, this will be your guide into picking which agent suits you the most!
Let’s start with the agents that enter the site first and clear the site so their team could safely get in and plant the spike, the Duelists. They are highly mobile agents that usually make the first crucial kill and make way for their team. They currently have 5 duelists which are Phoenix, Reyna, Raze, Yoru and the most famous one, Jett. These agents are usually highly mechanical agents that need some time to master but they are also the agents that could make the best montage clips so if you love doing flashy plays, this role is for you!
Up next we have the Controllers. They are the ones that control the fights using smoke screens to provide cover for the team and they give the enemies a hard time to aim at you. There are currently four controllers in Valorant which are Brimstone, Omen, Viper and Astra. Some of them got crowd control, molotov or poison to help you choke entrances so no one could go in and out of the sites. Their skills require some practice and knowledge of the maps but once you master them, you’ll be the one to dictate the phase of the game.
Let’s talk about the Initiators. They are like the Duelists in the way of initiating fights but they are less mobile and have way more utilities that you can use to blind and stun enemies and some of them could provide information about enemy positions. They currently have four initiators which are Sova, Breach, Skye and KAY/O. Other than Sova, all of them got blinds that people like to use before engaging the enemy to easily secure a kill. If you’re an aggressive player who doesn’t like mobile agents and loves to be the one to set up kills and teamfights for the team, this is the perfect role for you.
Now that we’re done with the Duelists, Controllers and Initiators, let’s discuss the final role, Sentinels. They are the ones that are really good in defending sites and preventing flanks. As of the moment, there are only 3 Sentinels which are Sage, Killjoy and Cypher. They use their skills to set up traps to prevent people from entering the sites when defending. During attacking, they would usually create traps for anyone who would try to flank and provide information about the other team’s position. If you’re a defensive player that likes to stay back and defend the team, this role is perfect for you.
That’s about it when it comes to the Agent roles in Valorant. Next time, I’ll tell you more about each agent in Valorant. I’ll even play some of them if you watch my Valorant streams! We’ll see on the next stream. Again my name is Mr Frog, catch you on the next one.
