Hello armies! Mr. Frog here and I will introduce Valorant agents to everyone. VALORANT is completely 100% free to play. If you already have a League of Legends account, you can use those credentials to log in to VALORANT, as Riot Games have changed the logins to be used on all of their games. Just like the competitors in the first-person shooter niche, VALORANT’s main game type is a 5v5 defusal mode where teams take turns either attacking or defending. The team that wins 13 rounds is the winner. The big difference between VALORANT and its biggest competitor CS:GO are the Agents, the characters you pick to play. Unlike CS:GO, VALORANT currently has 15 Agents available, each with their own unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses. This could be overwhelming at the start, but it shouldn’t take too much time to get familiar with all the quirks of the Agents.
The agent in the spotlight today is Brimstone, The Old Dog. Brimstone is a controller and one of the easiest agents to play and one of the best choices to play if you’re new to the game. Your signature ability will be the Sky Smoke that you can use to create cover for the team and disrupt the vision of your enemies. You can cast the Sky smoke anywhere within a certain range from where you’re standing. The next skill is the Incendiary which is basically a molotov grenade that can burn enemies that are stepping on it. Keep in mind when using this skill that it has to bounce first before it activates which is really great for clearing corners. I usually put a Sky Smoke in the entrances and then throw in an Incendiary to prevent people from entering the site. The Stim Beacon is one of the most underused Brimstone skills but it’s a really useful skill that gives you additional attack speed that is great when you siege or defend a site. His ultimate is the Orbital Strike that deals heavy damage over-time to players in the area. I always use it on tight spaces to clear the space and kill multiple enemies.
The key to playing him would be to play around your smoke. You can be an aggressive player and get a shotgun then hang around your smoke in the entrance then kill everyone who tries to enter the site or just put down a molotov to buy time and possibly kill enemies that still push through your smoke.
