Hello there! Mr. Frog here and I previously told you about NFT games and what it is all about. Now, I will tell you more about one of the most famous, if not the most famous NFT game — Axie Infinity. Axie infinity is like a pet game mixed with a card game where you can clear monster stages and battle with other players to gain Smooth Love Potions or SLP. These SLP can be used to breed your Axies and get new Axies or sold to be converted to cash. As well as Axies, other in-game items like real estate, flowers, barrels and lamps are all tradeable as NFTs too. These are all bought and sold using ethereum, which is the second biggest cryptocurrency after bitcoin.
I’ve played this game for a while and it’s seriously really fun! It’s quite similar to Magic. The Gathering or Pokemon but with cute pets and animation for attacks. A team of Axies is composed of 3 little axies and their skills could be casted using the cards. Each Axie got 4 skills but the skills depend on the body parts of the Axies when they hatched. There are a lot of classes of Axies. Each class in Axie Infinty has its own strengths and weaknesses. And it is the class that dictates the base stats and affinities of an Axie. There are Aquatic, Beast, Reptile, Bird, Bug, Dawn, Dusk, Mech and Plant. They have different skills and traits that are special to them. For example, Plants are really tanky and Birds deal a lot of burst damage. Then, Axies from the Aquatic class have high HP and Speed. This grants them the benefit of being both offensive and defensive. They can hit as hard as they can take damage, which makes them really adaptable and balanced. Beast class have high Morale and decent Speed. They make great offensive units because many of their abilities/cards deal high damage and chains into combos. However, they can be quite fragile because of their low HP. With the high Morale of Beast Axies, it can frequently change the tide of a battle by making full use of the Last Stand mode. While Bug class have, they’re pretty average in most aspects, but they can shine in the debuff department. Their abilities/cards are geared towards dealing annoying debuffs that can hinder enemies in various of ways. Bug Axies are great support units when it comes to the battlefield. The Dawn class have high Skill and decent Speed and Morale. They are part of the Axie group known as “secret classes” as well as the dusk class and Mech class.
There are a lot of skill combos that you can do so you better choose the Axies that you’ll buy wisely. You can also combine the traits of different types of Axies by breeding two different types of Axies but the skills that it will get will still depend on your RNG.
