Hello everyone, my name is Bambi also known as Sky Bambie and I am a part of the Hubient Talents.
If you are reading this post you are already taking a step to becoming more environmentally friendly in your day to day. Here I am going to list some easy swaps you can change in your lifestyle and trust me you won’t go back after implementing any of these.
Reusable Lunchbox
It’s always good to take your lunch with you in reusable products when going out to save money as well as save excess packaging waste. By bringing your own lunch box, you are able to plan out your lunch and this can lead to a healthier diet.

Recycled Snack Bags
Want something a little less bulky than a lunch box? Try out recycled snack and food bags, these are easy to seal, reusable and great to take with you on the go.

Buying in bulk
Buying in bulk is a great way to minimize travel pollution, save on plastic and you get to enjoy fresher food. Find stores that provide refill stations where you bring your own reusable container
Food storage
You can use any form of container as long as it has a good seal to store your food. Personally, I love to store my rice and pasta in coloured glass jars to give my kitchen more of a cute culinary aesthetic.

Loose leaf tea
Save on plastic by buying loose leaf tea and prevent ingesting microplastics. A Canadian team found that using a plastic tea bag at with of 95°C of boiling water releases around 11.6 billion microplastics into your cup. There are many different types of tea strainers you can use with your loose-leaf tea, mini ones that go straight in the cup to one that sit in the tea pot.
Eco Beauty Pads
Majority of beauty face wipes are not biodegradable and are only single use. Eco pads are a better option. Simply add micellar water or any face wash to remove makeup, these last up to 1000 washes so you are helping the environment and your wallet at the same time! Check out the Hubient Shop for some eco friendly makeup remover pads.

Eco Food Wraps
Throw away the plastic wrap and bring in the ecofriendly food wraps. These are washable, reusable, biodegradable and compostable. Certain ones are also antibacterial to top off all the other benefits! Cover bowls, cut fruit, bread and so much more. These are a great alternative to plastic wrap and another great money saver.

Reusable Cutlery
If you are taking your own lunch box it would be pretty awkward if you didn’t bring cutlery to eat it with. But even if you don’t have time to pack lunch bringing your own cutlery can still help save on plastic. You can carry these in small boxes, bags or sleeves and don’t forget to pack a reusable straw they come in handy anywhere u go.

Water bottles And Reusable Coffee Cups
Reusable water bottles are an essential no brainer and to be honest it always feels like the waters tastes better when it’s not in plastic. Reusable coffee cups are usually overlooked but did you know a lot of cafes will give you a discount for bringing one? Around 373 million plastic water bottles end up in waste each year. To help prevent this and to save money make sure you grab one of these.

Bring your own Bag
The world is changing, and retailers are slowly catching up. A lot of retailers are now charging for plastic bags so this is an even better push to not forget your tote bag. You can take a small one that rolls up and fits in your handbag or pocket or a larger tote bag, there is also produce bags available and so many more.

These are simple and easy swaps anyone can do! To quote Anne Marie Bonneau ‘We don’t need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.’ I think that quote helps to take the pressure off people who feel like they aren’t doing enough, so remember every small step counts.
