Hi, My name is Bambi also known as Sky Bambie and I am a part of the Hubient Talents.
Want to visit a great place with secret bars, food alleys and so much more? Well today we are looking at my visit to Chippendale. Chippendale is in a great location, in-between Central Railway Station and the University of Sydney.
This suburb is quickly becoming the best place for foodies to visit. I’m sure when you are visiting you will recognise some of these places from your favourite Sydney influencers Instagram feeds. Down below is list of exciting places you should try out for your next weekend.
Yolo Café
First, I started my morning off at the Yolo Café. One of Chippendales most Instagrammable cafés. This place has an amazing ambience and style, with food and drinks to match! When entering you are greeted with beautiful floral interior with a warm summer afternoon aesthetic.

When visiting make sure to check out their lego set up of scenes from the tv show F.R.I.E.N.D.S ! And catch a photo in their comfy teepee sitting under a beautiful display of flowers.
The Café has a range of delicious food from Bolognese pasta to grilled salmon soba noodles and dutch baby pancakes. They also have a great range of cold and hot drinks to fill your sweet tooth or get your caffeine kick.
I recommend the avo-smash with an iced caramel biscuit soy latte. Honestly this drink was out of this world and if you are ever in the area you have to drop by and try it!

Anita Gelato Bar
Next up is Anita, located right next to Chippendale green park, this place is famous for their amazing Gelato, frozen yogurt, and coffee. I usually get the coconut flavored gelato but today I opted for a strawberry fruit shake which was just as good and fulfilled my sweet tooth without being overly sugary. You can choose any flavour of gelato for the fruit shake or milkshake. Do not skip out on toppings with your gelato they have a vast range from fresh fruit like mango to melting chocolate and lollies bursting with flavour.

Chippendale green park
If you want a beautiful dog friendly park, with neat cut grass for great picnics then look no further then Chippendale Green. There are always cute fluff balls running around with some of the locals even bringing their cats for walks too!

This Park is located next to central park mall and the buildings around this area are full of beautiful vertical gardens which helps create an eco-futuristic city vibe.

Spicey alley
Spice alley is probably one of the sites most people know Chippendale for. It is located on Kensington St, a street that is home to so many flavors filled restaurants with cute tucked away bars to an alley of Asian eateries. Whilst walking through the alley your eyes and nose will be delighted with string lanterns and painted feature walls and the mouthwatering scents from the kitchens.

Andiamo trattoria - Italian restaurant
Simple, great Italian food, a place where traditional meets contemporary. I ordered the vegetarian shared entrée tasting platter with my friend and fell in love with the presentation and taste. For mains we ordered the pene all vodka and the pumpkin risotto, I have to say the pumpkin risotto was the standout with such a memorable flavor that made me want to eat two. And lastly for drinks a wonderful strawberry Popolo spritz and a lychee martini.

Saga bar
Saga bar is a secret tucked away bar in an alley way with a giant beautiful inviting door, after ringing the bell you are escorted inside into a beautiful hybrid of décor influenced from India, the middle east and south east Asia.

The menu is filled with amazing food and they are well known for their inventive cocktails. I ordered the soft and fluffy vegetarian bao and for dessert a sweet coconut, kaffir lime and lemon served in a coconut shell.

To be able to explore Chippendale at its fullest and discover all its hidden secrets I will have to re-visit, but don’t worry I will let you all know of my exciting findings so make sure to follow all Hubients social medias to keep up to date.
