Hi beautiful people, it is Sky Bambie here and at Hubient we believe in the hustle, but we also believe in taking care of yourself emotionally, mentally, and physically. I decided I needed a day to refresh and reset! This is a list of things I love to do when I need a mental pickup.
The best way to start your day with a positive energy is to put on some good music, have a shower, get that skincare routine on; put on a skincare mask and try not to jump straight on to your social media! Social media can create a mindset of comparison, or it can feed the go in a negative way. So throw away the phone and slap on the face serum.
Some Skincare morning essentials

Now that you are refreshed with a hydrated face let’s Start your day off with a healthy breakfast. This is another way you can help set the energy for the rest of the day and help motivation. For my breakfast I had sourdough bread with avocado, tomato cucumber and feta with some beautiful watermelon on the side.
I usually switch between coffee, tea, or juice in the morning but today the morning was slightly cold and I thought tea would be the perfect pairing. Try loose leaf Madagascar vanilla tea for an aromatic sense that fills your body
Stretching and Breathing Exercises
Before I go to the gym and even days, I am not visiting the gym it is important to practice breathing exercises and stretching. Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and can also help improve sleep and relive anxiety.
An Easy Breathing exercise to try is the ‘4-7-8 exercise’
- Sit down in a comfortable position
- Breathe in through your nose and count to four.
- Hold your breath and count to seven.
- Exhale through your mouth and count to eight
I always feel better after completing exercise even if I am completely tired at the end of it, I feel a sense of accomplishment and am ready to take on the world. The Gym is a great place filled with equipment for all your needs, but it is not essential to exercise. You can exercise anywhere from the comfort of your home, jogging around your suburb, the pool, and the park

Going outside and being around nature is my favourite way to release stress, even if you are simply going for a walk, having a picnic, or just sitting at the park in the sun, it is a wonderful way to refresh your mind and I try to get myself outside at least every second day if not every day.
Self-care does not just entail being healthy on a strict routine. It also means taking care of your soul which I like to think means treating yourself with delicious food as well!
I decided to go to Krispy Kreme to get a Pikachu donut it was too cute to eat, but that thought slowly went away after the first bite. then I visited bubble nini, a beautiful Bubble tea café that was a treat to the eyes as well as taste buds, with their Instagram worthy décor.
Read a book
Another fantastic way to relax that has been proven to decrease stress by 68% better than listening to music! Is reading. Light some candles find a comfortable corner or whichever safe space you like and get lost in a book.
