Hello everyone, I’m Surgeebee, and I am a talent, influencer, and gamer under Hubient Agency and Hubient Esports. Today I want to discuss with you guys about Battlefield 2042 Overwhelmingly negative reviews, and whether or not it deserves it.
Battlefield 2042 is one of the worst-rated games of all time in less than a week of launch. This new release by Dice have managed to create a plethora of bad buzz in such a tsunami style wave across the gaming world. As seen above, on steam it as reached 50,000+ negative reviews. This new milestone has pushed Battlefield 2042 to be the worst rated game on steam.
But does Battlefield 2042 deserve this extreme negative ranking and is it that bad? Subjectively, no, I personally enjoy the game despite some prominent issues. The gun’s weapon bloom and spread is horrendous, performance issues with stuttering and flickering persists and the general performance of the game is sublevel to be precise. Thus, fans have decided to use what’s called “REVIEW BOMBING”. Review bombing is what happens when a large group of people team up to leave a TON of negative review online. This is aimed at devs and company to make vital changes required for the game’s survival.
Now despite Dice having a below average launch (far worst than their previous) BF2042 still holds some positives and potential. Some fans’ comments were definitely exaggerated and over the top however the developers did tune into the reviews and is making positive changes to the game. Surely players have the rights to be disappointed with performance issues, random weapon bloom issues, balancing issues to name just a few.
These critical reviews have costed Dice dearly however they have now learnt the lesson of what is required should they want to prevent another disaster. I will continue to play BF2042 after the updates and stream this game because I genuinely enjoy this game but fingers crossed update fixes things.
