HI beautiful people! My name is Sky Bambie and I am a part of the Hubient Talents. If something goes wrong in your day in can set the tone for the rest of the day, right? Well, let’s look at some ideas to do the opposite and bring forth a positive day!
Walk your dog or yourself
Yes, this does mean you have to wake up earlier, but it was one of the best ways to feel accomplished straight off the bat in the morning and can set your day for success. There is something about the morning air that just feels so much fresher than the afternoon. Walk, run, or briskly speed walk any will do the trick.
Stretch, stretch and stretch
Improve circulation, flexibility, and relaxation. Ideally you want to warm your muscles up 5-10 minutes beforehand with light exercise and then stretch for about 10 to 20 minutes. Hold your stretches for about 20 to 45 seconds and do not push to the point of pain.
Drink water, tea
We all know the benefits of water and most of us never drink enough. Rehydrate your body from the hard work it was doing while you were sleeping. If the weather is cold or you have a craving for flavour, non-sweetened tea works just as well.
Do not go through your phone straight away.
Prevent the possibility of anxiety and focus on yourself for as long as you can before opening your phone up. Yes, turning off your alarm and checking your notifications count! Avoid the emails for at least an hour and especially the socials.
Have a healthy breakfast
Look for something heathy to eat and try not to overeat or eat heavy as you do not want to start your day already wanting to fall back in bed from a food coma.
I personally am not always a breakfast person, so for people like me opt for a healthy beverage. Such as a smoothie, juice, coffee (not as healthy) or tea.
Make your bed
The days from your parents nagging you to make your bed may be ringing in your ear currently but trust me this this helps clear and clean your space, this helps you tick off the first thing off your list as soon as you get up and sets in the tone for the rest of the day with one task already completed.
After you showers or at least after you have washed your face, it is time to pamper your skin! Having a proper skincare routine is a great way to practice self-care. If you are planning to put on makeup, then this is a definite must to set the base of your face for the coming layers.
Put a Spotify playlist, audio book or podcast on
These 3 options can suit any mood you wake up in. Bring your positive energy up with a music playlist, learn something new or bring forth motivation for the day with a podcast or inspire and stimulate your mind with an audio book.
Set Your Intentions
Setting your intentions for the day can help keep you on track, especially if you have a lot on that day. You can verbally set your intensions as you walk or in the shower, visually set your intentions by writing them down in a journal or just simply think them through as you go about your morning routine. Map out how you are getting to work, what tasks you need to accomplish or who you need to connect with that day.
