HI beautiful people! My name is Sky Bambie and I am a part of the Hubient Talents.
Minimalism is a craze growing every year, with people emptying their homes leaving only the essentials. Of course, you do not have to go to this extreme and its usually better to practise things moderately, so you do not end up over doing it and letting yourself experience the negative effects of anything overdone.
Some of the benefits for owning less stuff include, saving money, making it easier to find things, it’s better for the environment, it creates more space, less clutter= less stress and allows focus on quality over quantity.
Ensure when decluttering that you see what you can donate, gift, recycle or upcycle. I know the idea of throwing everything away quickly seems easier and less stress but in the end we want to be mindful of our impact on the world because every action makes a difference.

First up let us take a look at the difference between recycle and upcycle.
Upcycle- Transforming used products and repurposing them
Recycle – transforming broken down waste into new products
Make sure to look up a guide on what you can and cannot recycle, a lot of people are still unsure on the rules so better to be safe.
If you need some ideas on how to upcycle keep an eye out on hubient blog for my upcoming articles 😊

Here is a list of a few things from each part of your house that you can look into decluttering. I know you may think in the back of your head ‘but what if I need this eventually’ now think how many times you have told yourself this and get rid of it!
