HI beautiful people! My name is Sky Bambie and I am a part of the Hubient Talents.
Today I wanted to look at different ideas on completing that dreaded to do list. These types of lists always get thrown on the back burner and haunt us subconsciously as we set out to do everything but the tasks we know we need to complete. Procrastination is my worst enemy and if it is yours too then I hope you take comfort from some of these tips.
Wake up early
Starting your morning with productivity will set the tone for the rest of the day. The longer you leave your tasks the less likely you will complete them all. Don’t let yourself sleep in on a productive day! It’s a trap and you will sleep in longer than intended (speaking from personal experience)

Keep it fun
Try to make sure you have at least 1 or 2 tasks that aren’t mundane, boring, and monotonous. Your brain will desperately be seeking out that dopamine and stray you from your path.

Set breaks, feed yourself and stay hydrated
Don’t overload yourself, if you allow slotted breaks its something to look forward to whilst preventing procrastination from creeping its way through while you’re tired.
If your body has no fuel the chances of you being able to focus and get everything done is not likely. You also don’t want to overdo the food in one go and bring on a food coma so try to spread them out throughout the day.

Prioritize, Plan and be realistic
Focus on your top 3 tasks of the day then list down from most important to least. Make sure you are aware on how long each task will take. You may think you’re a superhero who can conquer the world and accomplish everything in one day, and I admire your optimism but in reality some things take longer then we anticipate. If some tasks will take a big chunk of your day or even be very exhausting, consider deleting those tasks that are not so important otherwise you will have a never-ending list.

Get a ‘to do list’ app to keep you on track
It’s a good idea to have someone else keeping you on track. There are so many awesome apps that have reminder features and even some that block you out from using your phone for a period of time to prevent distraction!

Cross off each task
There is a slight moment of satisfaction that comes with each task you cross off. Whether u put a line through it, tick or cross it off this will help motivate you to continue with your tasks ahead. You can even put another list where your write down your completed tasks.

Try the popular 1-3-5 method
A method that is spoken by many that is simple and easy to follow. The method involves selecting one big task, three medium tasks and then five smaller tasks that are not as important as the first four. You then prioritize your list in that order and allow time for all 9 tasks depending on size and importance.
In conclusion you can take all these points on board or select what works right for you. But you can’t know unless you try, so put I expect you all to have this list ideas to try out on your next to do list!
