Hello Armies. It’s Mr. Frog again and today we will have another Valorant Agent Spotlight. And the agent in the spotlight now is a duelist agent who specializes in faking out opponents. Yoru.
Yoru is a duelist agent that specializes in faking opponents and getting into unassigned positions. Two abilities allow him to stealthily move to another location and one that makes enemies believe he’s moved. It can be difficult to keep track of him at times. Yoru seems to play exactly the way you’d expect, at least in the beginning. He can position himself well to get behind players. His Gatecrash ability sends an auto moving tether to him that he can then use to teleport to. He can be easily behind any enemy team members if he does not notice them. With some coordination, he can also backstab multiple players while the rest of his team fights head-on.

Fakeout is another important aspect of Yoru. He emits an echo that imitates footsteps and sends it out. This can prove to be quite confusing considering how important sound in Valorant is. It was difficult to understand the concept of Yoru in the first few games. However, it became more familiar and easier to handle. It will be fascinating to see how players handle this situation when Yoru isn’t the first pick in every match. Although his ultimate felt somewhat underwhelming due to the fact that he could move about unnoticed, this may have been due to a lack in understanding how to use it. Although it can be exciting to be able to backstab, this is often not enough.
Here’s the abilities of yoru. Q skill is Fakeout. Equip to rip an unstable dimensional fragment from reality. Fire to throw the fragment, activating a flash that winds up once it collides with a hard surface in the world. E skill is Gatecrash. Equip to harness a rift tether fire to send the tether out moving forward ALT FIRE to place a tether in place to activate to teleport to the tether’s location. C skill is Fakeout. It EQUIP an echo that mimics footsteps when activated FIRE to activate and send the echo forward ALT FIRE to place an echo in place USE the inactive echo to send it forward. Then X skill is Dimensional Drift. It has a mask that can see between dimensions. Fire to drift into Yoru’s dimension, unable to be affected or seen by enemies from the outside
Yoru might see more play these days, but for the average player, his kit is very poor. Yoru, as a duelist, doesn’t offer much compared to Phoenix and has a very low pick rate. His abilities can be quite effective but his kit can make it more difficult than necessary. He’s still very new and people are still trying out his abilities on different maps.
Well, That’s it for Yoru. Which agent or gun should I do next? Let me know in the comment box.
