Hello Armies. This is Mr. Frog HUBiet and today I will give you another League of Legends Champion Spotlight. And today we’re going to feature one of the playable Champions, Nocturne.
If you are new to League of Legends, there are many champions available. Nocturne is the right choice for you if you love nightmares, darkness and getting into fights across the map. Nocturne, a demonic entity, draws his power from Runeterra’s nightmares. Nocturne is a creature of terror and chaos. He has a faceless shadow and cold eyes. He also wields wicked-looking knives. Nocturne, after escaping the spirit realm, now descends on the waking world to feed on the fear that can only thrive within true darkness.

Here are the abilities of Nocturne. Passive Skill is Umbra Blades. Nocturne’s basic attack is periodically enhanced, dealing physical damage to his target and to surrounding enemies, while also healing himself. Umbra Blades can critically strike the primary target. Basic attacks reduce Umbra Blades’ cooldown by 1 second, increased to 2 seconds against enemy champions. Q Skill is Duskbringer. Nocturne sends out a shadow blade in a line that leaves a Dusk Trail on its path, dealing physical damage to enemies it passes through and causing enemy champions to also leave a Dusk Trail behind their movement for 5 seconds. While on the Dusk Trail, Nocturne is ghosted and gains bonus movement speed and bonus attack damage. W Skill is Shroud of Darkness. Nocturne empowers his blades, permanently gaining bonus attack speed. Nocturne gains a spell shield for 1.5 seconds. Blocking an ability will double Shroud of Darkness’ passive bonus attack speed for 5 seconds. E Skil is Unspeakable Horror. Nocturne’s only form of hard CC in his kit, this is a point and click tether between you and the targeted champion that eventually fears them. The range and radius are both fairly short, so it’s very critical that you use this in combination with your Q – Duskbringer while you have the bonus movement speed. R Skill is Paranoia. Like Arya Stark from out of the shadows, Nocturne dashes at you from out of nowhere. The range of Paranoia is HUGE, making this one of the best engaging abilities in the game. This is one of the big reasons that Nocturne is such a powerful jungler, his ability to gank from almost anywhere in his own jungle or river. The fact that he basically blinds the entire team to everything around them is a nice bonus.
Nocturne in the early game is a very linear champion. He can hit you with his Q and fear you. And then he can run you down using autos. While you can do a lot with Nocturne’s Q early, you will have difficulty finding fights or ganks. You can outplay your spell shield or Duskbringer but fights can be very difficult. Nocturne’s mid-game kit is very linear with an additional extension. He can ult from anywhere and deprive enemies of vision, turning a fight from being disadvantageous to one that is just a blink of an eye. Once the late game comes around, you kind of need to have made your impact felt on Nocturne or else you’re going to struggle. If you used those first few ults to get yourself some kills, you can easily transition this to a splitpush/cross-map playstyle to keep your snowball going.
In the end, however, you don’t want to join a Nocturne-fighting team. This is the time when enemy carries are most effective. They will use their GA/Zhonyas to bait you into joining their team with your Ult. You will also struggle as Nocturne if you don’t have the strength to 1v1 or pick your enemy in the side-lane rush.
That’s all for Nocturne! Which Champion should I do next? Let me know in the comment box below. Want to get more esports updates and tournaments? Join our discord at gg.discord/hubient. Thank you for having here and catching you to the next one.
