Hello Armies! Mr. Frog here and today we will feature a really fun champion to play and, more importantly, a champion that can deliver results. Vi.
League of Legends has over 150 playable champions. Arcane picks just a few to highlight. Sisters Jinx & Vi are the most significant characters in the series, as they confirm their estrangement and dig deeper into their childhood relationships. This pick is often played in the Jungle position due to its lane phase. This pick has not yet seen any meaningful play in any other lanes. League of Legends champion Vi averaged a 3.35% picking rate. This was the lowest pick for the jungle position. Her absence from the meta was due to the fact that other champions with similar kits can do the job much better. Similar champions such as Xin Zhao offer better engagement options and reliable sustain, making them one of the most annoying champions to deal with. A fed Xin Zhao is a nightmare to deal with, unlike Vi. Vi’s biggest weakness is his inability to identify with a meta.

Vi is a champion of the bruiser type and receives natural magic resist gains at every level. When Vi gains a level, the numbers in parenthesis indicate how much each stat will increase. Vi’s skill set is all about damage. She can do more damage before she dies by using the passive damage mitigation. It’s easy to see what abilities Vi should have built on them. Although her E (Excessive Force), also scales off Ability Power, the scaling is not as good as the attack damage scaling. It’s not a good idea to gain any Ability Power on Vi. Crowd control is also a feature of her Q, as well as her ultimate. This allows her to control the pace of your targets. This is very useful when you want to stop an enemy team from carrying.
Vi is at her best in the jungle, with her Q and R giving her good ganking potential. She can also be used as a solo top if your team sticks to the current meta. If you plan to use lane, you can start Vi off with a Long Sword along with two Health Potions. If you prefer mobility and speed, Boots of Speed can be used instead. Machete and 5 Health Potions are the stereotypical jungle opener. I think it would work well on Vi too. The following runes are good for Vi: Armor Penetration (CDR), Cooldown Reductions (CDR), and Flat Bonus Armor. If you’re so inclined, you can take Magic Resist runes in place of CDR runes. Vi tends to be more focused on the enemy than the pursuit of escape. That’s why Exhaust is my preferred choice over Flash on Vi. Flash is a good choice if you are comfortable using it and don’t plan to change it. If you’re looking to cause damage, Ignite is the best choice. It can also cause problems for enemy support members who wish to heal their teammate.
Well, that’s it for Vi’s Champion Spotlight. Let me know what you think about this champion. Watch out for more spotlight. Get more esports updates, announcement and tournaments by joining on our discord at gg.discord/hubient.
