Hello Armies! Welcome to another League of Legends Champion Spotlight. And today we will feature one of the most morally ambiguous characters in the game, having both heroic and villainous moments in his history. Zed
Zed, the Master of Shadows. Deadly in many roles, including mid lane and jungle, this dark assassin’s energy-based gameplay revolves around conjuring and commanding shadow clones.
These are Zed’s abilities. His passive skill is contempt of the weak. Zed deals magic damage to enemies below 50% health. This effect is limited in duration. Razor Shuriken is the first ability. Zed and his shadow each throw their shurikens, inflicting physical damage on any target they pass. Each Shuriken does less damage to targets than the previous. The second ability is the Living shadow. Zed’s shadow moves forward and stays in place for a brief time. His shadow can duplicate his spells. Zed will switch with his shadow if he activates Living Shadow again. Zed and his shadow can strike the same target with Razor Slash or Shadow Slash. He will regain energy, and the target will suffer an additional effect. Razor Slash deals additional bonus damage, and Shadow Slash’s slow speed is greatly increased.
Shadow Slash is the third ability. Zed and his shadow create a burst of shadow that deals physical damage to nearby enemies. For each unit that is struck, Zed’s Shadow Slash reduces the Cooldown of Living Shadow slightly. Shadow Slash temporarily slows down enemies. Zed’s ultimate death mark. He falls into the shadows, and he dashes towards his target, inflicting physical damage. A Living Shadow is also created beyond the target. It duplicates Zed’s spells and marks it. The mark will explode after 3 seconds. It deals physical damage to the target based on damage done by Zed or his shadow during the mark’s active phase. Zed can activate this ability again to swap positions with his shadow.
Zed is always a strong pick in Solo Queue. Assassins, in general, are incredibly good right now. The best champions that counter Zed are Garen, Pantheon, Diana, Anivia and Malphite. And Statistically, these are the champions which have a Lower Win Rate Versus zed. Synda, Azir and Viktor.
Zed requires too much skill and effort to assassinate one person. To do so, you must hit all of your combos. There are champs such as veigar, talon and syndra that can perform the same feat for you by simply clicking one button. Many of you would argue that he is a split pushing player late game. But he seems to be doing worse than other split pushes. He doesn’t split-push well because he is too gated by his energy. And late game, he becomes an assassin who sucks against AP carries. Picking this champ will force your top into AP. Not all teammates are capable of playing AP champs.
Well, that’s it for Zed Champion Spotlight. Let me know what you think about this champion. Be sure to subscribe to get the latest updates from this channel. Thank you armies and see you next one.
