A lot of us have experienced either lockdown or quarantine itself from Covid, and from first-hand experience neither is fun. It’s easy to feel trapped and feel a little melancholy while confined, and as we all know humans are notorious for wanting what they can’t have which in this case is freedom to leave your home.
Whilst I would not recommend a strict hour by hour routine to follow every single day, I would suggest implementing a few things that help you feel a sense of control.
Start your day off with a shower or bath

Put some music on whilst showering to set the mood of the day, I would suggest a jazz playlist or something romantic that brings a sense you are walking down a Parisian boulevard in the morning.
Feed your skin

Set in some self-care with a skincare routine. If you usually just beat moisturizer into your face and the idea of skincare itself as a word scares you, fret not. There are 1000s of simple skincare routines online to have a look at with a lot fitting to specific skin types. Even if you want to add just 2 more products whether that be face wash, toner, or a serum.
Stretch the pain away

Get rid of all that tension and stress with some light stretches. You can also do a quick mat exercise routine to get your day started with energy.
If you are more into a calming type of exercise, try looking up ‘Calm’ they have an app as well as well as online videos that guide you through yoga, breathing exercise as well as meditation.
Feed the tummy

Eat a nutritious breakfast that doesn’t include cereal. Unless your cereal is more on the healthier side you don’t want to have a sugar rush in the morning which will ultimately lead to a burn out mid-day. While you have time in quarantine try making food you have never tried before.
Read or Listen

Try slotting in at least 3 chapters of a book a day or if the idea of sitting down in one place for a period of time makes your eye twitch try audio books.
Podcasts are also more popular than ever with thousands of topics and discussions that could teach you something new.
Get Creative

Painting, drawing, digital art, jewellery making, writing the list goes on! Therapeutic for the mind and soul do I need to say more?
Play or watch

Put in some time to watch your favourite shows or get lost in a game. Try not to over do these as it can lead to you feeling a little bit drained after if overdone.
Call, txt or facetime

Just because your physically alone doesn’t mean you have to be mentally. Talk to friends and family when you can and de stress. Sometimes you don’t realise you need to talk to someone until after you’ve done it.
Rearrange, decorate, or clean

Keeping your space clean throughout will help you mentally, but also try rearranging your space to add a sense of refreshed design. Don’t try to move things that are too heavy for one person as hurting yourself while in quarantine is not ideal.
Learn something

Online classes are more readily available than ever before! That skill or topic you have always held at the back of your mind, well this is your chance to conquer it.
