Hello Armies! This is Mr. Frog HUBient and today I will give you my first impression about a 2013 platform game with roguelike elements developed and published by Cellar Door Games. Rogue Legacy
Rogue Legacy’s goal is to explore a random dungeon and defeat four bosses within each environment. The final boss must be defeated. The default ability of characters is to jump and slash using their sword. Secondary abilities such as magic attacks that use mana are also available. To make their characters extend, players can use their swords to slash platforms.
A character’s Hit Points are lost when they die. Control will be transferred to one of three randomly generated inheritors. The player can choose from these heirs, but this number could increase to six with an upgrade. Each descendant has their own unique traits and abilities. These include colorblindness (in the game the colors are black and white), ADHD, dwarfism (in the character’s ability to fit in small spaces) and dwarfism (in the character can fit into tight spaces).

The gold found in the castle can be used by the character to upgrade his equipment and abilities. This is passed on to his heirs. You can find gold by opening chests or smashing furniture. You will also find fairy chests in different rooms throughout the castle. Most require that the player complete an objective before they can be opened.
Spending gold on a manor can boost stats such as health or mana. It also unlocks and upgrades new classes that could be carried by one of these heirs. These include mages that can use more advanced spells and warriors who have greater strength. Assassins who can use stealth techniques and are more likely to have a critical hit.
Gold unlocks the blacksmith, the enchantress, and the architect who all offer their own services. The blueprints from the castle can be used by the blacksmith to make new armor or equipment for players, which will improve their stats. The runes from fairy chests can be used by the enchantress to unlock additional abilities like double jumping or dashing. In exchange for a portion of any gold, the architect can lock down a design of a castle that has been previously seen. Charon must receive any unspent gold in order to be allowed into the castle. However, upgrades may reduce the amount.
