The transition from Dota heroes into Dota 2 was completed with the release of Sun Wukong, a.k.a. The Monkey King. The introduction of Sun Wukong, aka The Monkey King, was controversial because a large portion of the community believed that he was not balanced. Due to his superpowers, nearly every Dota 2 game featured a Monkey King. The developers released a series of updates to fix the hero’s abilities. These updates have made Monkey King more balanced. The hero’s difficulty level was increased by the multitude of nerfs, changes and a host of other alterations. This is why you don’t see Monkey King in Dota 2 anymore. This is where we came in. This guide will allow you to better understand Dota 2 Monkey King and his many talents. We think that this hero is very strong.
Monkey King has some of the most powerful ganking skills, and the ability to do severe damage to enemy heroes within a particular area. Dota 2 players are more comfortable picking another player because of the unreliable escape plans and the risk of making a mistake that could land them in serious trouble. We think Monkey King, if these skills are perfected, will be one of the most powerful heroes in the game.
Unlike other Dota 2 heroes, Monkey King is quite diverse. He can easily adapt to the roles of a carry, a core hero and for those who are not afraid of a challenge, the offlane. This is possible because of the Wukong’s increased range. Now for someone who has yet to play with this hero, would be quite confused as Monkey King is listed as a melee hero in the game but actually, he is not. His lore states that he can extend his staff at his will. The developers have increased his reach significantly, as this is not possible in Dota 2. Monkey King’s range in the game is very similar to that of Templar Assassin. This makes it easy for players to farm and hit their enemies with his basic attacks.
Let me conclude by saying that Monkey King remains one of the most powerful carries in the game. He is not only a formidable beast in the late game, but also a threat in the early game. With his Ultimate ability, teams can take advantage of the high ground advantage. This allows them to take down towers without fearing an enemy gank.
