Hello, Armies! Mr. Frog Hubient here and I am back with another gun recommendation for you to use in Counter Strike. Considered a “high risk, high reward” weapon due to its high powers but slow firing rate, reload speed, and movement speed, it is one of the most used weapons in the Counter-Strike series. AWP
The AWP, or Magnum Sniper Rifle, as it was previously known, is a sniper rifle featured in the Counter-Strike series.
Accuracy International Arctic Warfare is a series of sniper rifles made by Accuracy International, United Kingdom. The Arctic Warfare Police is the law enforcement version of the series. It’s commonly chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO. Counter-Strike Magnum Sniper Rifle is based on an Arctic Warfare Magnum that was chambered for.338 Lapua Magnum. Global Offensive’s AWP is based on the original Arctic Warfare. The AWP is a bolt-action sniper rifle with high power that can be used by both sides. It has a 10-round capacity and can be loaded with ammunition. The AWP isn’t available to Counter-Terrorists for purchase in Assassination Maps. They can however get them from fallen terrorists.

This long-range weapon is extremely powerful and has incredible stopping power. It is expensive and requires a lot of practice and accuracy to master its use. The rifle can be very inaccurate if it is not scoped in. It also lacks a crosshair that assists with aiming. Secondary fire can be used with the scope. Pressing secondary fire again while zoomed in on the scope will cause it to re-fire. While scoped in, the player’s movement speed will be reduced. The player can fire the weapon to temporarily leave the scope to operate the bolt, before re-scoping in. If the player uses secondary fire at a higher zoom setting, or switches weapons, they will be asked to leave the scope. The rifle’s accuracy is near perfect when zoomed in, and the player is not moving. It can hit any object as long as it is within the scope’s crosshair. Jumping and moving drastically reduce accuracy.
It has a high damage rating, which is why it is so feared. It can kill enemies one-shot, and does so without armor. Because his armor can absorb 200 damage, the VIP and Lab Rat can survive one body shot from the AwP. The increased health of the Danger Zone (to 120 HP) allows the Lab Rat to take all the damage. A headshot can kill both players immediately. It has high penetration power and high base damage, making it an excellent weapon for wallbanging.
The AWP is a powerful weapon, but it has poor handling ability. It is difficult to use the scope while running or walking. The weapon’s accuracy is poor so it must always be used. The weapon’s bolt-action design results in a low rate of fire. The AWP can slow down players significantly, especially in Global Offensive. This makes it difficult to use at close ranges. You will also find it less accurate when fired after you cycle the bolt in Source or Global Offensive.
Last but not least, the weapon’s high price tag is one of the most costly in the game. The AWP.338 Lapua Magnum, which costs $125 per magazine, is also the most expensive ammunition in-game. It also has a lower kill reward in Global Offensive, which further hinders the economic abilities of the team that uses it. To use the AWP effectively, it requires a lot of team coordination and skill. If the user becomes an economic burden and drags down the entire team, or gets killed, the enemy can claim the AWP. Additionally, the AWP’s sound signature can be heard clearly when fired. This makes it easy for enemy players and players in close proximity to identify AWP players and use chance tactics accordingly.
So, that’s all for AWP! Which gun should I use next? Leave a comment below. Again my name is Mr Frog, and catch you on the next one.
