Hello Armies. Welcome back to Mr. Frog Articles and today we are here to give you another Smite God Spotlight. And today we’re going to feature The God of love and desire, flying about on feathery wings, shooting passion-tipped arrows at all the creatures of the earth. Cupid.
On Cupid’s lure, Every creature that is struck by his arrows falls in love with its next victim. Cupid’s steady aiming would mean that there wouldn’t be any love in this world. Cupid fell in Love with his own self. Venus was venomously jealous because Psyche was a beautiful mortal. Venus ordered Cupid, who was blind, to sting Psyche with an arrow. Afterwards, Venus arranged that Psyche would fall in love with a Spider. Cupid was invisible and reluctantly went to Psyche during her sleep. However, Psyche woke up suddenly, seeing through Cupid. Surprised, Cupid slit his own arrow to fall in love with Psyche.
Venus refused to allow Cupid to marry Psyche. Cupid stopped firing arrows and people stopped falling for Venus. Panicked, Cupid relented and returned to work. Psyche was transported to a hidden location. Cupid visited her only at nights so that she could not see his true identity. Fearing Cupid was a terrifying monster, Psyche waited to see if Cupid went to sleep and then lit a lantern. Surprised by the results, she accidentally took one of Cupid’s arrows and fell for him.
Here are the abilities of Cupid. Passive skill is Lovestruck. Every hit with a Basic Attack gives Cupid a Heart Stack that increases the damage or healing of his abilities. Heart Bomb and Fields of Love will always consume the Heart Stacks and at 8 Stacks they will have additional effects. 1st Ability is Heart Bomb. Cupid fires an arrow of love at the target, causing damage when it hits and Slowing them. After a short time, the target’s heart explodes, dealing the damage again to the target and all enemies within the radius. If Cupid has max Heart Stacks then all enemies in the explosion area are Stunned for 1s. Minions take 50% increased damage from Heart Bomb.
Her 2nd ability is Share the love. Cupid places 3 floating hearts at his ground target location that heal himself or allied gods when picked up. Cupid regenerates Mana for each heart that is picked up by an ally. 3rd Ability is Flutter. Cupid flutters forward quickly, leaving a trail behind him that increases all allies’ movement speed. And cupid ultimate is fields of love. Cupid fires arrows of love at his ground target location, slowing enemies in the area and crippling them, preventing movement abilities. The arrows grow and explode, dealing damage and Mesmerizing enemies. Any damage done breaks the Mesmerize effect. If Cupid has max Heart Stacks the Mesmerize duration is doubled.
Cupid is strong at all points of the game, has great CC, damage, and safety. The god has no major weaknesses now. The only problem with picking Cupid is that you can’t build Hecate
